Many people in the Las Vegas valley are waking up to light rain this morning.
According to 13 Action News meteorologist Justin Bruce, the rain is expected to continue throughout this morning but should start tapering off this afternoon.
The mountains around Las vegas are also expected to see a bit of snow in elevations above 7,000 feet.
Another storm will roll through the valley on Saturday afternoon and the rain is expected to be much heavier than it is today.
We could get as much as half an inch to three quarters of an inch of rain and Mount Charleston could get as much as two feet of snow at its highest elevations.
A few more showers are possible on Sunday but most of the day should be dry. Mount Charleston also might see a bit more snow.
