LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — As coronavirus spreads, many expecting mothers are hoping to avoid potentially exposing themselves and their newborn. According to one local maternity center, this has led to an increase in interest for home births.

"I think that they're trying to keep themselves, their baby, and their family safe," says Sherry Hopkins with Well Rounded Momma.

Hopkins says expecting mothers are also concerned about the ever-changing hospital policies. Hospitals across the Las Vegas valley are limiting visitors, but so far they are still allowing one person to be in the room during labor and delivery.
