A Henderson family is devastated after a thief stole their U-Haul truck that contained everything they owned.

Now, the single mother and her teenage son are left without the special Christmas they had planned on spending together.

"I'm completely, emotionally and physically done," said Angelina Anderson. "I'm exhausted."

The last two days have been tough on Anderson.

While she drove her U-Haul to her new home in Henderson Sunday, her 16-year-old son Joel Sanchez stayed behind in California.

Inside that truck was everything they owned.

Anderson found it missing Monday morning. At first, she thought it was towed, but the leasing office told her towing services don't come inside the apartment complex. It must have been stolen.

In addition to all their furniture, clothes and personal belongings, the truck had a Christmas tree, lights and all of Joel's gifts.

"I wanted to have everything set up when he got here," Anderson said.

Joel flew into Las Vegas Tuesday night.

He didn't know about what happened because Anderson wanted to tell him in person.

"I came here because Christmas was coming and I wanted to see [my mom]," Sanchez said. "We were supposed to live here with our new stuff and start our new life here. This is probably not one of the Christmases I want to look and think about."
