Gov. Sisolak has proclaimed this Sept. 4 as Nevada Blood Donation Day to remind us of the need to constantly replenish our blood supply, especially around the Labor Day holiday when donations typically drop by as much as 25%.

Capriotti’s has joined the effort by thanking all blood donors with a voucher for a complimentary sub sandwich.

Donations can be made at participating Capriotti’s locations across Las Vegas on Sept. 1, 2, 5 and 6 or directly at a Vitalant donation center on Sept. 4 - 11.

Donations at select Capriotti’s shops can be made throughout Las Vegas at the following dates and times:

- Sept. 1: From 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Capriotti’s on 2620 Nature Park Drive

- Sept. 2: From 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Capriotti’s on 1200 North Town Center Drive

- Sept. 5: From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Capriotti’s on 7540 Oso Blanca Road

- Sept. 6: From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Capriotti’s on 5020 Blue Diamond Road

MAX donors will also receive the offer through the month of September at all Southern Nevada Vitalant donation centers. MAX donors give a specific blood component such as platelets, double red cells or convalescent plasma.

Call 877-258-4825 (877-25-VITAL) or visit Vitalant's website to make an appointment.

Vitalant is testing all successful blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies.

Donors that receive positive antibody test results are strongly encouraged to apply online to become convalescent plasma donors to help COVID-19 hospital patients with their lifesaving plasma once eligibility requirements are met.
