Police shut down Fremont at Third Street after a man was threatening to burn people overnight.
According to Las Vegas police, city marshals saw the man near the Third Street stage carrying a box and acting like he was pouring something out of a gas can. He also threatened several pedestrians.
Marshals officers tried to arrest the man, but he took off and left behind a suspicious box.
Police did have to shut down the area and send in the bomb squad who deemed the box safe. According to police, only kitchen equipment was found inside the box.
The incident began shortly after 11 p.m.
The man was arrested and faces charges.
