A flight traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee, was forced to turn around and head back to McCarran International Airport around 9:53 a.m. Monday due to an equipment issue with part of the navigation display.
Allegiant Air Flight 434 was carrying 146 people. The plane landed safely at McCarran around 10:47 a.m.
Another plane will take the passengers to Knoxville around 1 p.m. Passengers were also provided with $100 vouchers for future travel with Allegiant along with meal vouchers.
Note: A previous version of this article stated that the plane was forced to turn around due to a navigational failure. This was incorrect. The issue was equipment-related and involved part of the navigation display.
