A three-alarm fire broke out in a warehouse near the Las Vegas Strip overnight.
The fire started shortly after midnight at 4343 Polaris Avenue near Dean Martin Drive and Harmon Avenue.
Animals had to be removed from a nearby pet hotel for their safety.
About 70 firefighters initially responded to the fire. Flames could be seen shooting 30 to 40 feet in the air and several explosions, possibly from propane tanks, were heard. No injuries have been reported.
According to initial reports, the warehouse was used by the Peoples Autism Foundation and was filled with school supplies for children. The foundation had just held a special event over the weekend to collect needed supplies. At this time, it is not known what started the fire.

Motorists may want to avoid the area until the scene is completely cleared.
