LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Howard Hughes Corporation has announced plans to add a 10-story office building and additional luxury apartments inside the Downtown Summerlin community in west Las Vegas.

The new office building called 1700 Pavilion will be located south of the Las Vegas Ballpark. The 267,413-square-foot building will be on just under three acres of land and expected to have vantage points showing the entire Las Vegas valley.

The building will have a shared common area with a reservable conference room and gathering spaces. According to a Hughes spokesperson, it will also offer direct access to Pavilion Center Drive, retail and dining options across the street.

The additional apartment complex will be the Tanager Echo luxury apartments. The 295 unit development will be five to six stories high, with a parking garage that will allow tenants direct parking access to their residence.

“Demand for working close to home is on the upswing - both locally and nationally - along with demand for urban-style living surrounded by all the conveniences that make for a fulfilling lifestyle,” said Kevin T. Orrock, president of the Las Vegas region for the Howard Hughes Corporation.

The building will feature a mix of studios, junior one-bedroom apartments, single, and two-bedroom apartments. Corner units with balconies and lofts on the top floor will also be available.

According to a Hughes spokesperson, the Tanager Echo development is expected to provide touchless access into the building, have premium finishes, stainless steel appliances, and have Wi-Fi access throughout the common areas.

Tanager Echo will also feature a clubhouse with leisure space, a private dining room, game room and sportsbook style TV wall. The property will have a resort-style pool area and a top-floor sky lounge.

The new 1700 Pavilion office building and Tanager Echo apartments are expected to be built simultaneously, beginning in the second quarter of 2021.

The Hughes Corporation says Downtown Summerlin will continue to expand as a vibrant, mixed-use community along with embodying Summerlin’s hallmark healthy, active and outdoor lifestyle.
