LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — One person is dead after a motorcycle crash near Lake Mead Recreation Center, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on Northshore Road approaching Mile Marker 34 around 7:20 p.m. on May 20.

Troopers say the motorcycle drifted to the right and entered the unpaved shoulder.
It continued down a steep embankment into a natural wash and overturned, throwing the rider off the motorcycle.

The rider was pronounced dead on the scene.
This crash marks the 16th deadly crash in NHP Southern Command’s jurisdiction, resulting in 17 deaths for 2019.
The identity of the rider is pending next of kin notification.
