Police said 2005 Sterling Flatbed truck was traveling north on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive in the right travel lane north of West Mel Torme Way, as was the cyclist. The right side of the truck struck the bicycle causing it to crash.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment. The driver of the shuttle bus did not remain at the scene.
