Two suspects arrested in connection to man found shot dead inside apartment east of Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Police have arrested two suspects in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in June of last year.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on June 25, 2025, in the 500 block of Royal Crest Circle, off of E Twain Avenue and S University Center Drive, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Police arrived at the scene and found an apartment with a broken window and an open door.

Police also found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives learned that another man ran from the apartment to a car moments after the shooting, driving away from the apartment complex.

Now, police have announced they identified 40-year-old James Taylor and 36-year-old Prince Taylor as suspects. The two were located by the LVMPD Major Violators Section and arrested.

They are each facing a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon.
