UPDATE: Clark County coroner identifies woman shot in car

UPDATE NOV. 27: The Clark County coroner has identified the woman shot inside of a car as 48-year-old Patricia Salas of Las Vegas. Her cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police say that a woman was shot inside of a car early Monday morning near East Lake Mead and Nellis boulevards.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. Police found a black sedan that had jumped the curb near Marion Street.

Police told the media during a briefing shortly after 8 a.m. that they think the shooting could be related to road rage.

East Lake Mead Boulevard has been closed in the area for several hours.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
