UPDATE: Man arrested in Henderson homicide Friday

UPDATE MARCH 24 9:30 PM: A 38-year-old man wanted in connection with the slaying of a single victim was arrested Friday in Henderson.
 
Gerald Polk, a four-time convicted felon, is being held in the Henderson Detention Center on an open murder charge, possessing a firearm by a prohibited person and possessing narcotics for sale.
 
Henderson Police were following up on a tip and located Polk at the 500 block of Holick Avenue in Henderson. Polk was arrested at that location about 10:30 a.m. without incident.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Angel Thompson, the man killed.

UPDATE MARCH 24 1 PM: Police are still looking for suspects after a man was shot and killed in a Henderson apartment complex. 

13 Action News spoke exclusively with the victim's friend, who says 32-year-old Angel Thompson was trying to get his life back on track. 

"I feel bad now because he's gone," says Eric S. 

Police say Thompson was shot and killed at Lakewood Cove Apartments. They're still investigating to see if the shooting is related to a party at the same complex.

Police are investigating a homicide in Henderson.

Henderson police say they were called around 1 a.m. about a loud party in the Lakewood Cove Apartments near Warm Springs Road and Center Street.

They broke up the party and left.

They received a call about an unconscious man around 2 a.m. Upon arrival, they found someone doing CPR on the man.

However, the 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. It appears he was killed by a gunshot.

At this time, no one has been arrested.

The Clark County coroner has identified the deceased as 32-year-old Angel Thompson.
