LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Police say two people are recovering from injuries after two separate incidents - a shooting and a stabbing - on the Las Vegas Strip overnight.

The first was a stabbing shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Venetian hotel.

Police say a man was transported in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times. As of 1:30 p.m. on Sunday he was stable, authorities say.

No word on what led up to the attack or if any arrests were made.

Hours later, around 3:30 a.m., police say two groups of people were at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign to take pictures when they began arguing over whose turn it was.

According to authorities, an innocent bystander was shot just above the knee by shotgun pellets during the fight.

That bystander is stable and police say no arrests were made.

It is unknown at this time if detectives have a specific suspect yet or not.
