LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — This Halloween a stormtrooper hit the mark.
At around 1 a.m. an off-duty Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) trooper dressed as a stormtrooper stopped a wrong-way driver.
According to NHP, Trooper Britta Foesch was leaving a costume party at which she was the designated driver.
This morning a off duty Trooper stopped a wrong way driver from entering the I-15. All this happened while the Trooper was dressed as a Storm Trooper after a Halloween party. She saw a Prius going the wrong way on an I-15 exit ramp at Blue Diamond Road.
Foesch was able to get the driver to stop and called for officers who arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
NHP says that people should not try to stop drunk drivers, instead they should call 911 to report it.
NHP says Trooper Foesch is a trained professional and they added that the force is strong with this one.
