Prison officials say they're looking for an inmate who walked away from a minimum-custody work camp in rural northeast Nevada.

The Nevada Department of Corrections said Wednesday that 37-year-old Jeremy Bryson was reported missing following a Tuesday evening inmate count at the Pioche Conservation Camp.

Records show that Bryson was sentenced in August to 3 to 7 1/2 years in state prison after pleading guilty to burglary in Clark County District Court in Las Vegas.

He served a previous prison term after a 2013 felony theft conviction in Las Vegas.

Prison officials describe Bryson as 5-foot-10, with blue eyes, brown hair, a medium build and multiple tattoos.

They say he might be headed south on Highway 93 toward Las Vegas, 180 miles away.
