LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Nevada Highway Patrol released video of an incident earlier this month that involved a man being shot and tased by troopers after he began throwing rocks at them.

This situation took place as NHP troopers were investigating another incident involving a pedestrian around 12:20 a.m. on Oct. 4, near Eastern Avenue and U.S. 95, when they encountered the suspect.

The man, later identified as 28-year-old Steve Garcia, began throwing rocks at the troopers and ran away from them when confronted.

The troopers, with the help of Las Vegas police, chased Garcia.

A trooper then shot at him when he resisted arrest, and another tased him, according to NHP.
