Man wanted for murder in Texas found in Las Vegas detention center

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man wanted for murder in Texas was found at Clark County Detention Center in downtown Las Vegas under an assumed name, according to authorities.

Las Vegas police arrested Treveon James Young, 24, of Houston, Texas, on Nov. 25 and charged him with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and grand theft auto.

Police say Young was identified as the same man accused in the shooting death in Sugar Land, Texas, on Aug. 31 after detectives received a Crime Stoppers tip.

Young will be extradited to Fort Bend County.

He is accused by police in the death of 63-year-old Hamid Lakhani of Sugar Land during a convenience store robbery. Lakhani was a clerk at the store.
