Police have released the mug shot of the man they believe is responsible for killing one man and injuring another in Downtown Las Vegas.

It happened April 28 near 13th Street and Carson Avenue. Arriving officers found two adult victims who had injuries to their heads. One was sent to Sunrise Hospital and the other was sent to University Medical Center.

The investigation revealed the 2 victims were sitting on a piece of discarded furniture when the suspect walked up and hit the men with a hammer. The suspect was identified as 50-year-old Ronald Davis.

Police were able to arrest Davis soon after and he was booked into Clark County Detention Center on 2 counts of attempted murder and 2 counts of battery with deadly weapon.

One of the men, identified as 50-year-old Damon Wilson of Las Vegas, died on April 30. The charges against Davis may now be amended.
