Las Vegas police are looking for a man who beat a woman severely on Nov. 1 in Downtown Las Vegas.
A patrol officer found the woman near 11th Street and Bridger Avenue at about 1 a.m. She was lying in the street and was being helped by people in the neighborhood.
The 59-year-old woman was brutally beaten and had facial injuries. Her injuries were so severe that it initially appeared that she would not live.
Police distributed a sketch of the possible attacker during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they have no idea why the woman was attacked. They do not believe it was a robbery. The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male, about 5-feet 4-inches tall and stocky.
