Police are searching for an inmate and mental patient who escaped from a hospital near Charleston and Jones Monday night.
51-year-old Jay Cantrel has a lengthy criminal history, according to officials. He has also been a patient at the hospital since March.
Cantrel is described as a white adult male, 6 feet tall, and has a tattoo of a clown behind jail bars on his left shoulder.
