UPDATE: Coroner identifies man stabbed to death at hookah lounge

UPDATE AUG. 3: The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 33-year-old Rodney Garette Tisdell from Las Vegas. Tisdell's death was due to sharp force injuries to the chest and it was ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police have released more information about the homicide late Sunday night.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says patrol officers were dispatched to investigate a stabbing inside a hookah lounge in the 8000 block of West Sahara Avenue near Cimarron Road.

The officers were told while they were en route that the victim had been taken in a private vehicle to UMC Trauma.

They responded to the hospital and the crime scene.

The stabbing victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Homicide detectives were able to determine that the victim was involved in a physical fight with another man and was stabbed.

No one has been arrested at this time.
