The District Attorney's Office is asking for help finding a man with a violent criminal history who's been wanted for three years.

Jonathan Ware, a.k.a. Jonathan Hare pleaded guilty to a battery by strangulation stemming from a violent argument with a woman he was living with. And it was witnessed by her young child.

"He got into a verbal fight with a roommate," District Attorney Steve Wolfson said," then he attacked the victim, stuck his thumb in her eye, pushed her against a wall, put his hands around her neck and choked her."

Wolfson says Ware also has a prior conviction for battery, so he's capable of more violent crimes. He was looking at 1-5 years in prison but failed to show up for sentencing. Hare has been on the run ever since.

If you have information on Jonathan Ware, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. You don't have to give your name, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
