Clark County law enforcement are seeking a woman who managed to turn a petty crime into a felony.
23-year-old Traneitha Franklin pleaded guilty to battery with intent to commit a crime and robbery. It happened in December 2014 at a 7-Eleven store near the Stratosphere hotel-casino, only months after got probation for a similar crime.
Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson says Franklin made a couple of bad moves, starting with stealing a soft drink and then having some men come back and beat up the clerk who confronted her.
Franklin did not show up to sentencing after she had already served nine months in jail.
"Now she's looking at potentially not getting that credit and the judge being upset because she failed to appear and getting an even longer sentence," he said.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
