The 7-Eleven clerk who was shot early Sunday morning has been identified by his family.

His name is Gene McMillan and his family is pleading for the suspects to come forward.

McMillan was working when the suspects came into the 7-Eleven near Lamb Boulevard and Sahara Avenue around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

McMillan's sister told 13 Action News that 7-Eleven job was a second job for McMillan, who has seven children including an infant.

13 Action News spoke to customers and employees, who stopped by the store and said they are hoping that the family man pulls through.

According to the store manager, each of McMillan's paychecks go to the support of his children.

The suspects, who are believed to be responsible for several other robberies across the valley, only took $26 from McMillan's store and a pack of cigarettes.

So far, 7-Eleven franchises have raised $10,000 for McMillan's family.

He is still in critical condition at a local hospital and police are still looking for the dangerous suspects.
