23-year-old man dies in North Las Vegas shooting Tuesday

A 23-year-old man is dead following a Tuesday afternoon shooting in North Las Vegas.

Around 2:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Holmes Street, near Las Vegas Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, regarding a shooting. Arriving officers located the man unresponsive in a vehicle. Medical personnel arrived and declared him deceased on scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was not a random act of violence. There are no suspects in custody at this time.

The Clark County coroner's office will release the identity, and cause and manner of death, pending notification of next of kin.
