Several people said their credit card information was stolen after buying gas at a Circle K in Mountain's Edge.
Victoria Anne Wagenhauser noticed a strange transaction after using her credit card to buy gas at the Circle K on Blue Diamond Road and Durango Drive.
"My card came back as like $100 on my account," Wagenhauser said.
She said the bank was able to connect the fraudulent payment to the gas station.
Wagenhauser posted about her experience on a neighborhood Facebook group to warn others and found she wasn't the only one who fell victim to credit card skimmers.
"For it to happen to a lot of people, I'm like, 'OK, there's a problem here,'" she said.
13 Action News wanted to ask Circle K management if there are plans to fight back against credit card thieves. We were referred to a corporate office that did not return our calls.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department suggests if you think a credit card reader has been tampered with, report it to management immediately and pay inside.
