The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, introduces a virtual edition of its monthly Community Safety Forum series.

This month’s forum specifically addresses how Nevada is fighting fraud during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. The series provides content on an array of topics and is made possible thanks to a sponsorship from NV Energy.

Nevada’s COVID-19 Fraud Task Force, comprising local, state and federal investigators and prosecutors, has received more than 400 complaints regarding suspected scams targeting citizens. These scams involve everything from false offers of antibody tests to phishing scams designed to obtain sensitive information such as bank information and social security numbers.
