'Largest testing event yet' in Vegas valley coming soon; 60K tests to be administered for free

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — According to Clark County, a federal program offering surge testing in COVID-19 hot spots across the country will bring Las Vegas its largest testing event at the end of the month.

During “Stop, Swab & Go,” 60,000 drive-thru tests will be administered from Aug. 31 to Sept. 18, the county says.

The tests will be administered at no cost to individuals at three locations during the 14-day span:

  • Texas Station on 2101 Texas Star Lane in North Las Vegas
  • Sam Boyd Stadium 7000 E. Russell Road in Las Vegas
  • and Fiesta Henderson on 777 W. Lake Mead PArkway in Henderson

The event is a partnership between Clark County and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

Appointments are not required but encouraged.
