As residents respond to the health recommendation to be tested for COVID-19, patients are being asked to book appointments online through UMC’s website before arriving at the drive-thru and walk-up testing sites set up at the Texas Station parking garage or UNLV’s Tropicana parking garage next to the Thomas & Mack Center.

The sites will be closed July 3 through July 5, in observance of the July Fourth holiday.

They will resume operations July 6, and offer testing six days a week next week instead of five, before returning to their normal operating schedule of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

The UNLV Tropicana site is located in the parking garage next to the Thomas & Mack Center off Tropicana Avenue and University Drive.

The Texas Station site is located in the parking garage on the south side of the property off Rancho Drive at 2101 Texas Star Lane in North Las Vegas.

Both sites are being operated by Clark County and UMC in partnership with the Nevada National Guard. The sites are open to anyone, whether they are exhibiting symptoms of the virus or not, including children.

There are no out-of-pocket costs to patients. Drive-thru testing is available for people arriving in enclosed vehicles. Residents who arrive on foot, bicycle or motorcycle are also encouraged to book appointments online.

Appointments can be self-scheduled through UMC’s website at www.umcsn.com.

From UMC’s home page, click on the “UMC COVID-19 Testing Center” banner, select the “Public” option from the drop-down menu and choose the proper testing location.

Those with no online access or limited access may call UMC at (702) 383-2619 to schedule appointments.

Patients are asked to arrive about 15 minutes prior to their appointment time to get checked in and directed to a testing station.
