The College of Southern Nevada’s popular Motorcycle Safety Program will return next month. But, interested riders should act quickly: Classes are already filling up.
The program has been on hiatus since March, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced CSN to suspend its personal and professional development classes. The return will include smaller class sizes and other measures designed to strictly adhere to Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
CSN has offered safety courses since 1983 and has trained tens of thousands of Nevada riders. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and licensed by the State of Nevada. Classes teach everything from basic riding skills to strategies for operating a motorcycle in traffic.
“We are glad that the community has responded so positively to the program’s return,” said Ricardo Villalobos, executive director of CSN’s Division of Workforce & Economic Development. “I know there are many riders out there eager to get the training required by the state, as well as those who are beyond the beginner level but who want to advance their skills.”
