A school district representative said on Friday:

CCSD has made the difficult decision to cancel Fall sports for the 2020-21 school year. Fall sports were scheduled to resume in February 2021 after postponement at the start of the school year due to COVID.

The school district's director of athletics also tells 13 Action News that "CCSD schools will be removed from all Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association league schedules for the Fall (Season 2), with the exception of Moapa Valley High School."

Sports impacted include cross country, football, girls golf, soccer, tennis, girls volleyball, and middle school basketball for the 2020-2021 school year.
