UPDATE: Clark County Commission votes for no additional restrictions

UPDATE: The Clark County Commission voted during to an emergency meeting to not add any further restrictions on businesses that are reopening in Clark County after Gov. Sisolak's announcement on Thursday.

Commissioners say they will operate under the guidelines provided by the governor's office.

The Clark County Commission will hold an emergency meeting at 11:30 a.m. today to discuss Gov. Steve Sisolak’s Phase 1 reopening standards and direct staff accordingly.

County governments are empowered to tailor specific restrictions on business and public life, as long as those restrictions do not go below the strict standards issued by the state. The County Commission will discuss standards and protocols for reopening business in Clark County.

Pursuant to the Governor’s Emergency Directive on Public Meetings and in accordance with social distancing recommendations and other safety precautions, physical attendance of the meeting will be strictly limited to essential County officials and staff and the news media. The general public is encouraged to watch the meeting live on Clark County Television (CCTV), on the County website at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov and on Clark County’s Facebook and YouTube channels @ClarkCountyNV. CCTV is available in the Las Vegas area on Channel 4/1004 on Cox cable and on CenturyLink on Channels 4 and 1004 as well as in Laughlin on Channel 14 via Suddenlink. Live streaming of all CCTV programming is available at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov. CCTV is also available in Boulder City on Channel 4 and in Moapa Valley on Digital Channel 50.3.
