Contact 13 obtained photographs of what could be the exact spot where a fire started on a Bellagio rooftop last week

We spent nearly an entire day searching for the images.

Clark County Fire officials blame a faulty light fixture for causing nearly half a million dollars in damage to one of the Strip's most exclusive properties. Contact 13 obtained this stack of photos taken by a fire inspector early Friday morning -- about eight hours after the fire was knocked down.

The photos show the extensive damage to the walls and railing. Behind yellow caution tape what could be the fire's hot spot.

And we found close-ups of electrical equipment, the remains of a junction box in a damaged wall and also, electrical conduit, damaged wire and a burned out connection box.

And what looks like an outdoor light fixture which could be similar to the one that started the fire.

"With the fact that was an outdoor fire and that there was an electrical source in the area of that fire," says Scott Allison, a retired Clark County firefighter. "That's probably what they're going to zone in on first to see if that was the cause and in this case it sounds like it was."
