LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Natural Christmas trees are beautiful, but with time, they can pose a fire danger. With the holiday season wrapping up it's time to think about disposing of your tree.
While some place their trees next to the trash, recyclers say it’s better to take it to a recycling center or drop-off location.
According to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Program, Christmas tree recycling provides Nevadans an easy, eco-friendly alternative to dumping trees in the landfill.
You can recycle your tree from Dec. 26 through Jan. 15, in one of more than 34 convenient drop-off sites throughout the valley, to be recycled free of charge.
