LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Preparations are underway to get the youngest kids back into Clark County School District classrooms.
Superintendent Jesus Jara visited Goolsby Elementary School in Summerlin this morning.
He toured a few classrooms with the principal on how the school would practicing social distancing and accommodate students in-person and virtually at the same time under a hybrid model.
The work comes after CCSD made an agreement with Clark County Education Association in December to have pre-k to third-grade students return to the classroom.
Dr. Jara says welcoming kids back to campus has been his priority after weeks of planning.
Teachers will have the rest of the week to prepare.
Pre-k to 3rd graders return to campus this coming Monday.
