A new report released today shows Clark County ranks 6th in Nevada for its overall health, and 12th in factors like clinical care.
The report is part of the annual county health rankings study to assess the health of every county in the US.
Clark County maintained its rankings from last year despite what's described as severe under-funding for the Southern Nevada Health District.
Nevada is not doing in two areas. The diagnosed number of Chlamydia cases and the ratio of the population to mental health providers.
Both are around double the national average.
