LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Dozens of firefighters, engineers, captains and chiefs lined up Wednesday morning to offer one final salute to Battalion Chief Eric Poleski.
Poleski was called to respond to some of the valley's toughest tragedies.
He was the first Battalion Chief on scene during 1 October mass shooting and the first on scene when Lakeisha Holloway intentionally drove onto the Las Vegas Strip sidewalk, killing one and injuring over a dozen others.
Poleski dedicated his career to protecting the Strip corridor.
He worked with the department for nearly 30 years.
Poleski and his wife are leaving Las Vegas and moving to Michigan.
