LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark County Commissioners will vote on a $192,000 grant application Feb. 19 that will go to the U.S. Department of Justice.

If the county gets the money, it will be used to improve criminal responses to domestic violence, dating violence and sexual assault.

In December, 13 Action News spoke to the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. They say their annual report paints a dark picture and that this grant funding is vital.

Las Vegas only has 2 confidential domestic violence shelters.

That's is about 100 beds, not nearly enough for a community of our size, according to NCEDSV.
