The three city of Las Vegas Strong Start Academies that have been closed since mid-December 2020 due to COVID-19 have reopened for full preschool service for children and families.

Enrollment is open for the three locations:

- 1617 Alta Drive in partnership with Acelero Learning, 702-954-4777

- 700 Twin Lakes Drive in partnership with Acelero Learning, 702-538-8700

- 251 W. Boston Ave. at Stupak in partnership with Acelero Learning, 702-685-6565.

Children living in or near zip codes 89106, 89107 and 89101 can attend for free.

In addition, two Strong Start Go Mobile Pre-K academies offer children and families free high-quality, early-education program closer to their neighborhoods. This program provides half-day pre-k classes along with family engagement workshops and activities. Strong Start Go mobile units are based in the areas near Lake Mead Boulevard/J Street and Mojave Road/Washington Avenue.

For more information on the mobile Pre-K academies, call 702-229-KIDS, option 4, or click on the following New Parent Registration link to register.

The Strong Start Las Vegas academies were launched by the city to advocate for and bring awareness to the importance of early-childhood education from birth to age 8, which supports school readiness and grade-level reading. We know 90 percent of the brain develops before kindergarten, and that experiences during the first five years of life are crucial.
