There could soon be big changes to the well-known "Hey Reb!" mascot at UNLV.
University president Len Jessup says the school has launched a $50,000 campaign to change the mascot in response to concerns that it has ties to the confederacy.
Some have even called for UNLV to chance its "Rebels" nickname, but that will remain unchanged.
