A food bank in northeast Las Vegas has become the target of thieves.

According to the Bailey Community Nest, someone has burglarized the pantry at least 3 times in the past two months.

This has been a tough one. Bailey's Community Nest, which sits at Bailey Middle School, has been targeted by thieves. But now the school says they rather not talk to 13 Action News about the incident..and because of that neither will the church who runs the pantry.KTNV Channel 13 Action News

"Burglars came out like a lot of times and they don't have that much food anymore" said Nae'yana Mckenzie, who visit the food bank every day after school.

The food bank is especially important to the students at Bailey Middle school.

The pantry sits right behind the school. It's funded by Bailey Middle School and Grace Baptist Church.

"It's very sad to hear that our favorite place has been broken into more than once," Mckenzie said.

This week, the food bank went to Facebook to post a message crying out for help:

13 Action News saw the post, but were quickly told the school did not want to talk about the situation.

We reached out to Bailey Community nest who said they would talk, but then changed their minds today.

Now the school and the food bank are meeting to determined whether or not Bailey Community Nest is safe enough to stay on school grounds.

"I don't think it's going to hurt anybody, it would hurt more if they took it away," said Holly Crunk, a mother who uses the pantry frequently.

The school and church are set to meet Friday morning.
