UPDATE ON APRIL 7: Las Vegas police said 24-year-old Gervonn McCurdy has been arrested in the deadly shooting.
He was taken into custody without incident in the 2500 block of Country Orchard Street Friday.
UPDATE ON MARCH 6: The Clark County coroner has identified the deceased as 46-year-old Bionne Sherfield of Las Vegas. He died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
UPDATE ON MARCH 5: The victim of Saturday's shooting died from his injuries, according to police.
An investigation revealed that the victim was outside an apartment prior to the incident. Once the shooting happened, a dark SUV with large rims was seen speeding from the area.
This is the 27th homicide investigated by Las Vegas Police this year. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Police are investigating a shooting near West Lake Mead Boulevard and H Street Saturday night.
Police responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. of a person shot multiple times in the 800 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard. The person was then taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Detectives are on scene investigating.
