Six people were injured, one critically, after a crash Friday evening involving a driver who was allegedly under the influence.
Police reported the crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. when a Chevrolet Equinox, being driven by 40-year-old Melissa Williams, went through a red light at Buffalo Drive and Gowan Road and hit a Pontiac Sunfire that had the green light.
The right front passenger of the Pontiac was ejected from the vehicle after the crash. A 16-year-old in the Pontiac was critically injured and transported to UMC Trauma.
The 20-year-old female driver of the Pontiac received moderate injuries as did her 17-year-old female and 16-year-old male passengers.
Chevrolet driver Williams received minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. A 6-year-old girl in the Chevrolet also had minor injuries.
