A 51-year-old inmate died in hospice care earlier this week.

The Nevada Department of Corrections reports that on Tuesday, Lantze Eichinger died at Infinity Hospice Care in Las Vegas.

Eichinger was sentenced to 2 to 5 years for conspiracy to commit violent crime in Clark County.

He was at the hospital when the Department of Corrections took custody of him as a new commit to High Desert State Prison, however, Eichinger was immediately transferred to hospice care.

After an exhaustive search, staff members were unable to locate next of kin. Anyone with information concerning the location of a family member for Eichinger, please call 775-887-3309.

This was the third inmate to die on Tuesday, May 29. Daniel Prim and Joshua Owens also died that day at Las Vegas hospitals.
