A 37-year-old inmate died at Centennial Hills Hospital Tuesday.
According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Joshua Louis Owens had been found unresponsive in his cell at High Desert State Prison that morning.
Owens was committed from Washoe County on Jan. 4, 2017 and was serving a sentence of 1 year and 7 months to 4 years for resisting a public officer with the use of a deadly weapon.
