Las Vegas police are identifying two officers involved in a fatal shootout with a 22-year-old Arizona man running from the scene of a shooting where another man was wounded near the Stratosphere tower.

Officers Lukas Ferris and Bryan Loy are on paid leave pending department and district attorney investigations of the slaying of Efren Trujillo.

Ferris is 25 and has been a police officer for a year.

Loy is 33. He's been an officer for almost nine years.

Trujillo was from Buckeye, Arizona. The Clark County coroner ruled his death a homicide, but the coroner's finding doesn't establish fault.

Police plan a media briefing Thursday to air details of the Monday night incident.

Police have said Trujillo fired several shots as officers chased him through a short-stay apartment complex.
