UPDATE OCT. 1: The uncle of the 19-year-old man arrested after a body was found in a sleeping bag near Lake Mead National Recreation Area has also been arrested.

48-year-old Joseph Miller is being charged with aiding a felony

Police believe Michael Miller, who was severely burned as a child, is accused of shooting landlord Raul Salazar several times and then asking his uncle to help him dispose of the body.

Michael Miller's mother moved into the residence belonging to Salazar in June with 2 young children and Michael Miller.

She told police that she and the younger children went to stay with a friend on Sept. 19 to "create a distance" between herself and the victim.

Michael Miller stayed behind. That morning, he woke up to find his mother had left and his prosthetics were in his room. Miller needs the prosthetics because of the injuries suffered in the fire.

Miller told people that as he crawled towards his mother's bedroom, he was confronted in a hall by Salazar. He also claims that Salazar pinned him against a wall with his walker.

Michael Miller then reportedly shot the man because he felt threatened. He then called his uncle, Joseph Miller, and requested his help.

Joseph Miller initially denied involvement but then admitted he helped his nephew.

Miller told police that his nephew wrapped the man's body with various things he found in the house and they transported the body to the desert near Lake Mead.
