EARLIER STORY
A person is dead after being stabbed near Swenson Street and Twain Avenue.
It reportedly happened at the Shelter Island Apartments at around 1 a.m. A man in the area who says he knows the victim told Action News that two men got into a fight over a woman.
Police have arrested a suspect. They say that two men got into a fight earlier in the evening and then ran into each other again shortly before 1 a.m. They confirmed that the fight between the two men was over the woman.
A security guard is being credited with detaining the suspect after the stabbing. The exact relationships between the trio were not revealed.
The Clark County coroner will identify the deceased after relatives have been notified.
