In celebration of National Sandwich Month, Jean-Francois and Melissa Blais, the Canadian expat co-owners of Lester’s Deli Las Vegas, joined us to talk about bringing the celebrated Montreal institution to its first location outside of Canada. With more than seven decades of history behind the brand, the new restaurant is serving up classic deli favorites while staying true to the family recipes and traditions that made Lester’s famous.
At the heart of the menu is Montreal-style smoked meat—whole beef cured with spices, slow-smoked, steamed until tender and hand-sliced to order. We also got a taste of signature dishes like Le Maurice, the Avenue Bernard and classic poutine, proving that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas—especially when it's this delicious!
